Rain Rain, Go Away

All this rainy weather is making me drenched. Sure, I have my Henri Bendel rain boots, but it's an unreasonable garment to wear in 100 degree weather. So is a trench, but that's besides the point. I am lusting over Abercrombie's short and sweet classic trench that would be absolutely perfect for fall. But at $200, I'd rather splurge on a clearanced Burberry instead.

Stars in My Ears

In Korea, I spent an extravagant amount of money. In fact, I'd rather not think about it. However, I came back with a mound of wonderful things- one of them being these star bedazzled headphones. They are originally from Japan but I bought them in Hongdae, my favorite sector of Seoul. The sound quality isn't the best, but I'm all about aesthetics over sound quality. Haha.

The Most Feminine Truck

This is seriously the best picture I took in Korea. It is a pink truck in the artsy neighborhood of Hongdae! Apparently, it was in a popular Korean movie called Cinderella Man. And if you go to the site, it's actually a clothing site! But really, I wouldn't mind this as my source of transportation. ^^

In the Year 2000

This is great. Really.

An Extra Boost

All young women (or just women in general, actually) in Seoul wears heels. All. The. Time. I don't know why (perhaps it is the lack of height) but if you don't wear heels, you're considered odd in this society. How women claim to this feat, I have no idea since you have to walk EVERYWHERE. Sure there's subways and busses, but to an extent you have to walk a lot to live in Seoul.

But as I was surrounded by heels for 3 weeks, I have garnered a soft spot for them. So when we returned to America I have been hunting for a perfect pair- and I have come up with these J. Crew wonders. Stacked with a wooden heel (a la Yves Saint Laurent) and perfected with grey patent leather, they are so me. But the $140 price tag is a bit hindering...

You're My Ray of Sunshine

This is seriously one of the best bicycles I have ever seen. Sure, I love the simplicity of Muji bikes, but the bright ray of sunshine this bicycle gives off is irresistable. This was a Benetton bike right outside of my grandma's apartment in Seoul. Koreans are crazy about health, and everyone- from second graders that need to go to their respective tutors to those in their 60s -ride bikes all over Seoul. It's great- except when you're the pedestrian that almost gets run over. AKA me.

Um...

So yeah, the posting in Korea didn't really work out so well. I came back last Sunday, but I've been busy the past few days unpacking and finishing up my summer statistics homework. Bleh. But now I'll be posting regularly, and here and there do some posts about Korea. But I'm leaving for camp this Sunday, so there will be a hiatus for 4 days unless I figure out the automatic poster. We'll see. Till then, much love!

Quick Update :)

Hi guys. My computer is plagued by viruses and I'm stuck doing stupid summer assignments. All my friends are away and I've been a loser for the past couple of days. Sorry I'm not posting, but I'll start posting more once I go to Korea- with plenty of pictures, bunch of insights to Korean culture, and of course my drool-worthy descriptions of foods and clothes. Can't wait! Till then, I'll give you an update to my life.

Reading: A World Lit Only By Fire by William Manchester (This is my AP Euro reading assignment. It's a pain in the butt. Honestly, it's a good insight of medieval ages, but it's so scattered. Not very organized.)
Listening: Wizard of Oz by Clazziquai. Simply breathtaking.
Making: Friendship bracelets. I tried a bunch of new patterns- didn't go so well. Guess I'll be sticking with chevrons!
Calculating: Obsolete statistical questions for my AP Stat summer assignment. Sigh.
Thinking: Korea and a boy. Follow me on Twitter to see my thoughts.

That's all for now. Unfortunately, I do not have a tribute to Michael Jackson- perhaps I'm too young, or I just never got into the Thriller phenomenon, but I do not feel to partial towards him. However, I got three completely random texts about him passing. Uh...?

School's Out

IT'S SUMMER!!! I'm so happy I'm finally out of school. As much as I love learning, I can't handle the stress of grades. Honestly. My finals were tres facille and I think I did well. But now what's on my mind is: KOREA! I'm going in a week. What should I pack in my carry on...?!

P.S. As an official declaration of summer, I leave you this beautiful picture of a girl at a beach.

Come 'round to the Freak Show

This spread is so creative and beautiful. It featured a band- I forgot the name, but it was featured in Dazed & Confused. I always admired the circus theme and of course, the beautiful clothes.

Technical Difficulties

I'm trying to adjust my layout. I'm sorry it's been acting up... Gah stupid blogger.

Experimenting in Erin

I just got Adobe Photoshop today. I'm stumbling on the baby steps in order to use Photoshop more efficiently and fluently. It's hard! I've been reading listless tutorials, experimenting with all the tools, and wasting studying time thoroughly for approximately 3 hours. It's awesome! But for my first project, I endeavored to make a collage of Erin Fetherston. It turned out okay, but could use a lot of improvement. I adore Erin Fetherston for her whimsical designs and her intelligence and how she is simply best friends with all my idols- including Zooey Deschanel. Hopefully I'll be able to save up the dough for one her frothy dresses.

Cram that Head

Hi guys. I have finals next week... Therefore, I have a lot of cramming to do. My grades absolutely horrific this semester and the finals are what my grades need for that extra boost. Thanks for understanding! Mwuah!

Adorned with Pastries

Found this Voguegirl spread on Fashion is Spinach and adored it first sight! I really envy this girl right here. Surrounded by cupcakes, tiere cakes, macaroons... Yes, I still adore tea parties and no, I still did not have mine yet!

Mon cheri...

Credit : Amazon
I had just finished Cheri, Colette's masterpiece of a romance novel. It's soon coming out in a movie form, starring Rupert Friend and Michelle Pfeiffer. Reading this delectable piece makes me eager to see the sparks between Rupert and Michelle even more. Although it's roughly translated from French to English, Colette still manages to instill a great theme of age, beauty, and meaning of life. Personally, I love the character of Lea, the 50 year old cougar that lured in the young Cheri. She represents all independent women through her personal wealth, personality, and how she carries herself. Although I do admit, having an affair with a 20 year old man when you are in your 50s is a bit creepy, I love her for not depending on anyone and being fiercely herself. Cheers to Colette.

Ka-BLOOM Les Fleurs!

Credit : i'm not sure :x
I've been wanting to put a vase of fresh flowers in my room for a long time now, but they are very unpractical for me. Firstly, I'm broke, so I can't afford the beautiful bouquets and they are so temporary that my cheapo self can not bring myself to buy $40 flowers that'll last me a week. But I'm determined to change myself this summer. The months that I'm home, I'm going to collect wildflowers from the forest beyond my backyard and collect them in a beautiful vase. Hopefully I don't have severe allergies... Haha

Vintage Fountains

I completely forgot where I got this from... I got it a few days ago too! :x But anyways, I love this picture for its vintage lighting, perfect dress, and the fountains remind me of DC, my home sweet home. Or close to it. It's been raining all week and this makes me crave for true summer to arrive...

La princesse est allée mal

Credit : Style.com

I always fall behind looking through collections when fashion week comes around, so I usually rely on blogs or magazines to get my fashion week fix. But with less collections in the pre-fall, I decided to check it out. As a fan of all things Lanvin, I absolutely adored Alber Elbaz's latest collection. Definately rich girl gone wild, it was a perfect mix of tulle, pearls, and a streak of black eyeliner. If only I can afford those jumbo pearls...

Dear Diary

If you know me, you would know that I am absolutely obsessed with stationary. I love all sorts- from Hello Kitty pens to nice, buttery leathered Moleskines. For summer, I decided to record my adventures in a Moleskine, my first journal from the brand ever! Of course I got excited and read all sorts of sites about Moleskine such as Moleskinerie.com to the many Flickr groups dedicated to the legendary notebook brand. Finally, I decided on a medium sketchbook. It's perfect with its acid free pages and portfolio pocket at the back. I'm in love! I can't wait till I fill it up with all my happenings, photos, drawings, and rambles. Don't worry, I won't forget about this blog!

Sunshine

I forgot where I got this picture from. :x Sorry to whoever's this is! Anyway, I've been trying to capture light into my photographs lately. It's really hard! It doesn't help that the dreary New England weather is back either. Bleh. But this is among a collection of photographs that all capture light- which I adore. Beautiful and simple seems to be the theme- if only I can capture that on film!

Queen of Food

Anyone who knows me personally knows that I'm a major foodie. It's a miracle I'm not overweight. So yesterday, I took a trip to Boston to meet up with a close friend of mine and to shop. I lunched at Starbucks with my giftcard (hurrah for $50 Starbucks giftcards!!!) and ate pesto pasta with black tea lemonade. Yum. For dinner, we planned on eating at this really good Thai place, but we ran out of time, so we ate at Burger King instead. Haha, what a downgrade, right? Well, lucky for me, I've been wanting to try these burger shots for a while so I finally did! They were so cute but too much bread and too little meat. But otherwise good. I felt sick though. My friend said, "You would get sick after eating fast food." I'm also known in my friend circles as the health nut. Haha. What are your favorite foods? I'm eager to eat my weight today. Haha.

J'est tombé amoureux...

As the summer countdown begins (2 more weeks!) I am getting even more and more anxious for Korea. If you know Korean culture, you know that Korean fangirls are extremely crazy over boy bands. They are not of the best music quality, but the entertainment industry knows how to pick the best looking ones. One of the biggest boy groups of the moment is 2pm, a 7 member group of JYP. My favorite out of them all is the half Thai and half Chinese yummy boy, Nichkhun. His huge baby eyes along with his lean, tall body made me fall in love. But the black and white turtleneck? Uh, no.

Feelings of Mediocracy

Have you ever felt so inadequate in comparison, or just mediocore? Lately because of school I have had this feeling constantly in my heart. Questions such as 'Why am I not good enough?' or 'Why do I have no gifts or talents?' has meandered in my mind for quite some time. Some people may remedy this as low self esteem or just being overdramatic, but I simply see myself as a completely average human being with no 'special factor'. And it doesn't help that all my friends are all either academically, musically, or artistically gifted. If not that, they are truly kind in spirit, incredibly funny, or amazingly witty. As I'm surrounded by such talented people, it's hard to see the good things of myself. Or even something that I'm the 'best' at. It's hard, but I'm hanging on. Only 3 more weeks of school left... Sigh. This year has been really rough for me- my grades slipped compared to last year, and I thoroughly did not enjoy any of the courses I took except French. But I know God has a plan for me and this is just the knocking of the dominoes to reach the final product. Let's hope for a good ending of this school year.

Lolli, Lolli, Lolli, Lollipop

Sorry I'm spewing all this Korean stuff at you guys. I'm just super excited for my trip this summer! I have a whole list planned out and a Moleskine to record all my adventures. :) But more on that later. Currently, Lollipop by 2NE1 ft. Big Bang is replaying over and over in my head. Not only is the song addictive, the video features candy colored wardrobes of both Big Bang (the boys) and 2NE1 (the girls). Korea is super conservative when it comes to culture- songs that are slightly provacative can be banned in radio stations, tv, etc. So, Korean music and tv can get boring sometimes, filled with the same garbage just recycled constantly. 2NE1 is a good forray into a unique sense of self- breaking the mold. And of course it makes sense this new revolution is styled by Xin and Danny, both of whom are Daul Kim's friends. I can't wait to see what else they have in store!

Pourquoi la mode est important?

After I left Yves Saint Laurent, I wanted to quit fashion and travel the world. I read an article about a mother. Her son got injured in a terror attack and he lost his legs. He was 7 years old. This mother left her other four kids and her husband and her job and took this boy to a little room they rented near the hospital. She took care of him for two years. Every time they put prosthetics on him, he'd grow, and they wouldn't fit, so they'd had to start all over. At that moment, you have to ask yourself: Is fashion important? Is it important to talk about luxury? Does it really matter if you're going to wear a red dress or not? Finally, I thought, Because of that woman, it is important. You make people dream. You make people think. You have to give them stories. You have to introduce fantasy. Fashion is how we bring them into the world today. That is my job.

Polka Dotted Perfection

Credit : Kate Spade
I'm a huge stationary nerd. I love collecting all sorts of pens, pencils, notebooks, etc. I mean, I'm already thinking about back to school shopping for next year! Today, I went shopping at the outlets and whilst I was there, I went to the Kate Spade store, which I found the most incredible pencil case. Well, it's intended to be a cosmetics case, but no matter. It's on sale online for only $32, and it will be mine!

Creative Chaos

Credit : Tsumori.co.kr
One of the many reasons I am so excited for my visit to Seoul is the clothes. From wholesale clothes at Dongdaemun to high end designer at Hyundai mall, clothes are absolutely stylish and trendy. While missing Korea, I love to look through online Korean clothing boutiques, one of them being Tsumori. The clothes are alright, but the photography is amazing! Also, I love the creative chaos going on in the room. This is my heaven of an office space!

You Only Have One Youth

Credit : Some blog?

Fitzgerald is by far, one of my favorite authors. I read the Great Gatsby for my English class this year and thought it was so amazingly mind blowing. All the little underlying meanings, symbolism, elegant details made Gatsby my favorite book we read. After that, I watched the Curious Case of Benjamin Button, which was inspired by a Fitzgerald short story, and of course read the short story itself right after. And again, Fitzgerald made me fall in love with him even more. So to continue my infatuation, I read the Beautiful and Damned. Now on the top of my list of favorite novels, Fitzgerald entranced me once again. Next is This Side of Paradise...

Leenah, Won't You Have Tea with Me?

Credit : EleanorHardwick.com

I'm enchanted by this picture-- the perfect depictment of my perfect tea party. Eleanor, whose my age and far far far more talented than I am, has a stunning portfolio and a few solo exhibitions. As far as I'm concerned, at 16 years old, those are quite some accomplishments. I constantly look through her Flickr for inspirations like so many others. Anyways, back to the picture. I am on an absolute tea craze!

High Time for High Tea

I really want a tea party at the moment. Like the Kate Spade ad pictured above, I want to taste all the pastries and stain my mouth with delicious tea. So I looked into wher I can have such fancifuls near me and I came up with Intrigue Cafe at the Boston Harbor Hotel, Swans Cafe at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel, and the Lounge at the Taj Hotel. All of them sound fabulous and I'll definately try them all. Reviews to come!

Rap-scallion?

Samantha Pleet, of Brooklyn origins, has a line at Urban Outfitters called Rapscallion. I recently discovered this sweet romper for only $58. The shorts are a bit too short for my taste but the corseted top and the breezy blue color keeps calling out to me, "Buy me!".

Green + Light

Isn't this picture gorgeous? The flurolescent green tulle along with the beam of sunshine in the background rounds up this wicked pretty picture. The model is beautiful to boot. It reminds me of sunrise and your head still to hazy and fatigued to properly function... Sounds like my typical morning.

Spring Cleaning

As you may have noticed, this blog has gone through major renovations. It's a lot neater and prettier don't you think? All I need to fix is the archives... It's being funky. As a basic HTML person, it's a struggle to even set out my blog layout. But hopefully it will resolve soon enough. Hold on tight!

Oh My Selby

Credit : the Selby

One of my favorite sites to look through, the Selby, recently photographed and interviewed one of my top heroine, Julia Roitfeld. Her apartment in New York City is incredibly chic- stacks of books, magazines along with a incredible closet makes this neat, minimalistic space gorgeous. I am in total envy- my room is a complete mess compared to that!

Happy Mother's Day!

This morning, my brother and I woke up at 6 to create a scrumptious breakfast for my mother. My mother is so often underappreciated- she does everything domestically and financially and always does it with a smile. I admire her so much and unlike many of my friends, my mother is my best friend in the entire world. To show my love, I made this heart shaped egg in a hole along with sliced apples and a dollop of yogurt. It was delicious! How did you celebrate Mother's Day?

Be My Slumdog Millionaire

Ever since I watched Slumdog Millionaire, my heart reserved a space for Dev Patel, who portrays the 18 year old Jamal Malik. In fact, I tracked down all the Skins episodes he was featured in just so that I can see him acting. I can not wait till I have Slumdog Millionaire DVD! :) (And to add to the fairytale ride that Slumdog Millionaire is on, Dev Patel and Frieda Pinto are dating! They are so adorable.)

Sarah + Adam

Credit : OnceWed.com
I stumbled upon these set of photos at Once Wed, a fantastic site for brides and grooms alike (although I am far from that!). My favorite wedding pictures were of Sarah and Adam's wedding. I adored Sarah's outfit, which was a perfect combination of a grecian dress, dusty pink roses, strands of pearls, and salmon colored sandals. My dream wedding is still in the making, but this is as close as it can get.

C-O-M-C-A-S-T

I'm not the biggest fan of the beer commercials of Superbowl- in fact I'm not the biggest fan of commercials, period. But this Comcast commercial simply makes me smile with its witty lyrics and cute animations. The lyricists are genious! (It definately reminds me of Kimya Dawson.)

Six Word Phenomena

God gets bored. Result? The platypus.
—Justin Fetters

Today, I stumbled upon a site called, Six Word Stories via Miss Couturable (which by the way is very charming & her blog is quite a read!). These little compositions are absolutely delightful to soak up-- some are sad but insightful, others are hilarious, i.e. the one above. This is so much better than FMyLife.

Model as Muse

Credit : Style.com
The Met Ball this year definately was worse than last years, but it was wicked exciting to see all the models with the designers. My favorite duo was Vera Wang with Rachel Weisz. The gown Rachel has on is gorgeous with yellow tulle and lavender chiffon. And of course Vera is adorable as always. Sigh my dream is to attend the Met Ball. Only if dreams come true...

Ma coeur...

This is my Twitter picture, mainly because I don't want to post a picture of myself. Haha, I'm so paranoid. But anyways, it also makes me feel so refreshed- I love sunny days for sure, but clouds are always the best. :) (Oh & I've been on a total French mood- notice my title?!)

Put Your Records On

I've been craving a record player for a while now- perhaps urged by my parents' extensive vinyl collection or How to Impress a Hipster's post on vinyls -but never found the perfect one. My parents own a sleek, black one, but it's way to modern for my taste. So I have set my eyes on this beauty- perfectly retro with a burst of color, it's made for me. Now that I have found my perfect player, now it's time to hunt for the perfect vinyls to go with it! :) (This Brooke Waggoner Heal for the Honey vinyl would be a good start!)

J'adore Matisse!

For my French project, I have to make a powerpoint on an Impressionist or a post-Impressionist painter. I chose Matisse, my all time favorite artist. I'm deeply intersted in art history, and this project was really fun for me! (I'm such a dork.) With all my other schoolwork, this was a good break from permutations and World War II. It revived my love for all things art- which I'm jubilant about. And I'm going to the Museum of Fine Arts next week for a field trip so I'm super excited. And yes, this is how I spend my Friday nights. Doing French homework. Haha, how was your start of the weekend, lovelies?

Ghost of LV Past

Credit : Style.com
Happy May! To kick off this new month, here is a look from my favorite collection of all time- Louis Vuitton SS07. Ther combination of light colors, tulle, flowers, ruffles, and dewy make up made this collection oh so perfectly spring. What's your favorite collection?

Starry Eyed

Stars were always important in my life. My Korean name literally means silver star, When You Wish Upon a Star was my absolute favorite song when I was little, and nothing made me feel more complete than seeing a blanket of stars during the night. This picture is simply wonderfully whimsical- not only my cherished stars are present, but the flowing dress and the lovely background makes this picture one of my top inspirations of the moment.

Sandal Madness

Credit : Style.com
As mentioned in the post before, summer is rapidly approaching! And summer means heat, and heat means sandals time. Every summer, I usually have one pair that I wear every single day until end of August, which then promptly falls apart. It's not like I buy bad quality perse but I just abuse them. So right now, I'm on the hunt for the perfect sandals for summer 2009. I instantly fell in love with these ruffled Christian Louboutin for 3.1 Phillip Lim sandals when they came out the runway, but alas, these are probably in the $500 range and I am not made out of money. I've been looking for some alternatives, such as this Steve Madden ones or this J. Crew pair. Both are around the $80 range, which is a bit of a reach, but we'll see. Do you lovelies have any suggestions?

Spring Showers bring Summer Humidity

I can not believe it's going to be May tomorrow! Time definately flies. My boyfriend is graduating soon, I'll be out of school soon, and the most anticipated out of them all, my summer vacation is rapidly approaching. I have a lot planned for this summer, including an internship at a local shoe designer (She's absolutely fabulous! More on that later!), possibly going to Seoul (my absolute favorite-est city next to NYC), my best friend is visiting me from Maryland for a week, SAT/ACT prep, and summer homework, a future victim of my procrastinating nature. Although I'll probably die of fatigue by end of August, I am absolutely excited. I can not wait to create memories with my closest friends and family that will forever be in my heart. But before then, I have to finish my sophomore year strong- straight A's here I come! (hopefully. haha) Well that's my summer for you. What are you guys doing during summer?

Transparency + Shadows

This shot is so beautiful. Definately the inspiration of the day. The transparency of the heels, making it look like she's barefoot, along with the murking shadows... It is so lovely. Matches my day- it was amazing. How was your day?

May Showers = New Phone

As of late, I'm completely (well almost) technology-less. My iPod's battery died. My phone's battery died. The only source of electronics I have is the computer. However, my phone contract is ending May, so I can get a new phone! Well I wanted an iPhone but unforutnately I have Verizon. And in this economy, I can't spend that much on a phone anyway. So, I really want a Blackberry. And Verizon is giving out the Pearl for free! The only con is the two letter keyboard. I guess I'll get used to it, but I bet it'll be wicked annoying for the first month. Oh well. Blackberry-land, here I come!

Stockhom Schoolgirl Chic

Just as 90 degree weather rolled in today, I fell in love with this winter look. It's a flawless combination of a sailor jacket, flowy dress, and that gorgeous Miu Miu bag. Not that into the boots though, but still a fabulous outfit. Sigh in this weather the only thing I can wear are tank tops and skirts... and I'm still dying.

Just Want to Soak it Up

To be honest with you, I'm used to 30 degree weather. Having to live in New England for 3 years, that's the norm. However we had a sudden temperature spike this weekend- reaching up to 100 degrees. I, wearing a baseball tee and denim shorts and sneakers yesterday, was sweating like a pig. It was not a pretty sight. Today, it's already up to 90 and it's only 10! Ah! The picture above looks so serene and cool. I wish I was there... Ta ta lovelies, I'm off on a hunt for the perfect vintage swimsuit!

The Music Conundrum Part II

Credit : iRiver
So yes, I still haven't gotten a mp3 player. And yes, I was one second away from getting the new iPod shuffle. And yes, I thought I probably lose it and the controls were frustrating. But now I have a new love. The iRiver LPlayer. It's tiny, it's touch screen, and best of all, it comes in WHITE. The most frustrating thing about the American technology market is that everything is in black or silver. Nothing's in black. Perhaps it's because the market is dominated by geeks. Eh maybe. So yes, this music machinery is a bargain at $100 a pop- now, a clear case or a pink one...?

Givin' Me a Boost

Credit : Payless
At 5'5" I'm not the shortest of the crowd. But, I constantly feel envy of glamazons' mile-long legs. I have a ridiculously long torso and stumpy, short legs. So constantly I am looking for a way to make my legs a wee bit longer. But the thing is, I detest heels. I'm a comfort girl- & most heels are definately not comfy. But when wedges became back in fashion couple years ago, I was turning a bit optimistic. Wedges had the best of both worlds- they were comfy and gave me some height. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find affordable, yet not cheap looking wedges that were right for me. But voila, I found my perfect pair- these Lela Rose for Payless Caruth check wedge. With a delicious check print on the wedge, these were meant to be on my feet. Now how to order these beauties...

I Woud Like a Cooper, Please!

I had my first driver's ed class today. It sucked. A lot. I took it at a local auto school and the class was filled with kids who did not want to be there. I mean, what kind of 16-17 year old wants to take driver's ed 8 in the morning during spring break? Uh no kid I know of. But our teacher was pretty relaxed, understanding our frustration and drowsiness. But driver's ed got me thinking... What kind of car do I want to drive?

The obvious answer was a Mini Cooper- the single handedly favorite car EVER! Not only is it perfectly retro, it is earth friendly too with its newest version, Cooper S. Too bad I'm not going to get a car till forever. Boohoo :(

Why Do You Have To Be Like That?

Credit : blah
I'm usually a relaxed person. I don't get stressed too easily (thank God) and not a lot of things annoy me. But today was really bad. I was hanging out with a bunch of my friends and two people, who symbolized the types of people that I dislike most, were getting on my nerves to the point that I was crying later. Here are the two types of people that annoy me most:
  1. Arrogant, know it all jerks
This is rather self explanatory. There are just those type of people that think they know everything- and are rude about it. I mean there is no reason to be like this. You're just being a jerk to everyone and putting everyone down. You think you're so funny? Uh, not really.
  2. Girls who victimize themselves
This is one of my biggest pet peeves. I hate it when girls (or boys, but I find it most common with girls) say things like 'Oh I'm so bad at [blank]' just to get praise or sympathy from others. I mean why do you need to do that? It's really unnecessary and if you're so bad you can tell okay?

Sigh. Sorry I had to babble on like this. Usually I can deal with people like this- I mean I love the people I talked about. They're like my brothers and sisters. But I don't know why but today I just blew up. Oh well... I just need to pray for kindness and patience to enter my heart. :/ So you know now that my Sunday was ruined- how was yours?

Abercrombie Zombies

In the land of suburbia, there are girls that I call 'Abercrombie Zombies'. A normal 'A.Z.' outift includes a tee shirt blazened with the words, 'Abercrombie & Fitch', a super short, ripped up denim mini skirt, and probably a pair of flip flops also with the infamous moose logo. Sure I had a period of 'A.Z.' myself as every other teenage girl living in suburbia, but I am long over that. I don't really remember the last time I even entered the forbidden store- till today.

I went to my local, ghetto mall today to go spring shopping. I desperately needed new tank tops (my H&M ones were about to fall apart) and shorts. I already eyed some J.Crew 5" chino shorts- perfect for summer. But I still needed to find denim shorts. Few days ago, I visited Abercrombie's website to find among millions of Daisy Dukes, a perfect pair of boyfriend midi shorts. However, being the cheapo that I am, spending $60 for shorts that probably wouldn't even last that long was a reach for me.

But in to the disgustingly fragrant store I went. Greeted with smiles and hellos of too many salespeople, I quickly went to the shorts section with fright and wanting to get out of there as soon as possible. I found them, went to the dressing room, and voila. It was perfect. I find Abercrombie sizes to be really big for some reason- a 0 was perfect. But did I want to purchase this and even promote the sexuality and disgusting smell of Abercrombie? I'm afraid not.

Luckily, in H&M I got a perfect pair of shorts with pleats and long enough length. They were only $25 too! The denim quality of H&M definately surpasses Abercrombie's- perhaps it's just that it's not too fake 'worn out'. I got a lot of other things too- which I'll unveil soon enough. :) Hehe. Although it's cloudy today, it's really warm! I love spring! Go & have fun my darlings!

Oh Char-lay!

I've had some good and some bad experiences with the name Charlie. Sure, I loved Charlie the Unicorn and 'Ouch Charlie Bit my Finger'as everyone else did, but I also met a wicked sketchy Charlie this year. But that's a story for another time. I did find a 'good' Charlie though-charlieccbb. It's a cute etsy store selling jewelry with miniature teacups and cameras. Absolutely adorable! I am eyeing the retro camera necklace, but I've never bought off of Etsy before... Hmm shall we try it?

Classic + Jazz + Groove = Clazziquai

Clazziquai, one of my favorite music groups of all time, is unique. The fusion of lovely voices, techno mixing, and smooth, relaxing tone make their music irresistable. One of my favorites, Sweety, is one of their earlier songs. It is incredibly cute & I definately like the English version better. (They are originally from Canada, but are in the Asian markets.) I mean, who doesn't like the uplifting lyrics, " I feel my heart with you, I can't stop dreaming about you"?

Gimme My Muji!

I am so sorry my dears for not blogging for two days! :x My deepest apologies. I simply had no time to invest in blogging! But now all my tests and projects are all done- tomorrow's the final day of school before spring break! Yay!

Now that all the school nonsense is done with, I got to sit down and just read magazines & blogs & drink tea. Yum. That's when I stumbled upon a little tibit that made me shiver with excitement: my favorite store to visit in New York City, Muji, has finally opened an online store! I am super excited for all the awesome pens and notebooks that await me. Ta ta for now, my lovelies!

P.S. On the note of new openings, OutNet, the "outlet" version of Net-a-Porter opened today! Not as exciting as I can't afford anything, but still worth the look!
